Yesterday our potential new Republican President vetoed legislation that would have made texting while driving punishable with a $200 fine.
Claiming the law was “a government effort to micromanage the behavior of adults” along with 23 other laws Perry stroked his veto pen across months of work by a legislature that meets every 2 years.
When asked if seat belt & drink driving laws were government efforts to micromanage the behavior of adults Perry said put the legislation on my desk to sign and you'll see. FYI the last sentence is not true it is satire.

Mmm, kay. Population control, perhaps? I bet he wouldn't veto legislation to ban abortion. The GOP always seems more focused on bringing people into the world and less concerned about helping them stay alive once they are here.
